Acceptable use

You may use PaperPlane only lawfully and within the contract. You must not use the service to:

  • store, import, share or transmit content that is unlawful or infringes another person’s rights;
  • distribute malware, phishing, unsolicited bulk messages or instructions intended to compromise systems or accounts;
  • exploit or sexualise children, facilitate violence or illegal trade, or process content whose possession is prohibited;
  • attempt unauthorised access, bypass limits or security controls, probe other tenants, or disrupt the service;
  • use another person’s identity or send sharing/signature requests without an appropriate basis;
  • use AI output as the sole basis for decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about a person; or
  • resell or systematically scrape the service unless expressly agreed.

Automated imports must respect source-provider rules and third-party rights. Business customers must establish lawful instructions and access controls for their users.

Enforcement

We may investigate credible reports and proportionately restrict content, links, integrations or accounts where necessary for security, law or contract enforcement. Where possible, we notify the affected customer, explain the measure and allow a response. Notice may be withheld where legally prohibited or where it would create a security or investigation risk. Urgent threats may be acted on immediately. A customer can challenge a decision by replying to the notice or emailing us.

Notice of illegal content

To notify us of allegedly illegal content stored or shared through PaperPlane, email hello@codeandcomments.at with the subject PaperPlane illegal content notice and include:

  1. the exact PaperPlane URL or other information that identifies the content;
  2. a clear explanation of why the content is illegal, including the relevant law where possible;
  3. your name and email address, unless the report concerns an offence for which EU law permits an exception from identification;
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith that the information is accurate and complete; and
  5. supporting evidence that can lawfully be provided.

Do not attach illegal material unnecessarily. Describe it and provide the controlled URL. We send an acknowledgement to the supplied email address, assess notices diligently and objectively, and communicate our decision where required. This channel is the electronic point of contact for recipients and authorities concerning hosted content. Official authority communications should clearly identify the legal authority, case reference and requested action.
